I don’t have a tattoo shop but I would love to get involved, is there a way to do this?

Yes, please contact your local participating tattoo shop to see about partnership options so you can work out the details of how you can contribute to and support their efforts.

Where is my money going?

Part of what makes SNAFI® special is the direct impact each participating shop has in their own community. We encourage shops to pick localized centers that focus on rape prevention and recovery. When a studio chooses a local center, communities can begin to heal and move forward from harms that come as a result of sexual violence.

That said, some shops prefer to donate to The Joyful Heart Foundation, a national organization which is currently fighting to enact rape kit reform laws in every state. Since starting SNAFI in 2015, we have raised over $800,000 all of which has been donated to organizations and centers around the world.

Will tattoo designs be the same at every shop?

Shops will be given a few designs that have been popular (ie: the “no means no” design) but artists will be creating their own designs as well. Flash is typically posted the day of the event but this is different per specific shop & at each shop's discretion.

Please contact your local participating shop to inquire about this & be respectful of the method in which they choose to debut their flash.

Can I bring in my own design/alter the flash?

Flash event days are pretty busy so to keep things rolling smoothly this is not usually an option. 

If I can't make it, can I still donate?

Yes! Please contact your local host about stopping by in the week leading up to the event. Alternatively, you can inquire with the host studio about how to contact their preferred organization to make your own donation.
